Winter Fog 5 1/4" x 7 7/8" done on a 3/4" pine block from the studio renovation. It's a challenge painting on this surface, trying to use the bumps and scratches on the natural wood, instead of the usual sterile perfect surfaces of prepared canvas and panels. This painting reflects my response to the misty weather we have had recently here in Marshville. I love the warm browns of the late fall and the serene grays of a foggy morning.
